The Batter's Edge is 4" tall, 42" long, and the surface that the batter stands on is 5" wide.
Should I hit off of a tee when using the Batter's Edge?
You can hit off of a tee, have someone "soft toss" to you, hit off a pitching machine or live pitches. It's all good!
Do you have a model for lefties?
The Batter's Edge works the same for left and right-handed swingers. The back foot always will be on the rotator.
Does the Batter's Edge work for Softball swings, too?
Yes, it is suitable for softball and baseball swing training.
Can the Batter's Edge be used outside?
It is designed to be used on dirt fields, grass, artificial surfaces, even cement. It cannot be used in a real game, it is only for training and practice!
Can I use the Batter's Edge with metal cleats? rubber cleats?
Metal cleats are not recommended, as they will tear the rubber. Rubber or plastic cleats are absolutely OK to use.
Can the Batter's Edge support the weight of an adult?
The Batter's Edge is made of tough and rugged fiberglass reinforced plastic, it can support a weight of approximately 500 pounds.
My coach has me stand on a piece of wood to improve my balance while swinging. Why should I invest in a Batter's Edge?
The Batter's Edge is much safer than standing on a piece of wood. The angle of the legs and and rubber feet ensure that it will not slip or move during your swing while on dirt, grass, or even a cement floor. And the non-slip surfaces for both feet keep the batter from slipping and falling. Also, the Batter's Edge teaches back foot rotation which you do not get on a simple piece of wood!
Is the Batter's Edge safe for younger players?
The Batter's Edge is ideal for beginners, as it teaches them to keep their head still and to turn their hips by "squishing the bug" and turning their back foot. It is safe, only 4" off the ground and the non-slip rubber provides excellent footing.
What is your warranty for the Batter's Edge?
We have a 90 day warranty for defects, and if you are not satisfied for any reason within 30 days you can return for full credit.
